Teltonika tracker setup

Plug a tracker into the car's OBD port, send one SMS, and the car shows up in GPSGo.

Recommended trackers (plug & play OBD)

These plug straight into the car's OBD-II diagnostic port — no wiring, installed in under a minute. They differ only in mobile network:

ModelNetwork
FMC0034G LTE Cat 1Recommended — works almost everywhere
FMM003LTE Cat M1 / NB-IoT (2G fallback)Good where your operator supports LTE-M
FMB0032G onlyCheapest, but 2G networks are being switched off — not for new installs

Any other Teltonika FMB / FMC / FMM tracker works too (for example hidden, hard-wired models for theft protection) — GPSGo accepts Codec 8 and Codec 8 Extended.

You will need

1. Add the tracker in the app

In GPSGo open the vehicle list → Add Device → Physical, and enter the IMEI.

2. Point the tracker to GPSGo

Option A — one SMS. Put the SIM in the tracker, plug it in, and send this SMS to the tracker's phone number (replace internet with your APN):

  setparam 2001:internet;2004:gpsgo.upanet.org;2005:7050;2006:0

The message starts with two spaces (no SMS login/password is set on new trackers). If your APN needs a user name and password, add ;2002:user;2003:password. The tracker answers with a confirmation SMS.

Option B — Teltonika Configurator (Windows, USB cable): connect the tracker, open GPRS and set:

Data protocol (System tab) can stay on Codec 8 or Codec 8 Extended. Click Save to device.

3. Plug in and drive

The OBD-II port is usually under the dashboard, near the steering column. Plug the tracker in and take the car outside so it gets a GPS fix — it appears on the GPSGo map within a few minutes.

GPSGo shows position, speed, heading, ignition on/off, the car's battery voltage and the street address, plus 10 days of trip history.

Troubleshooting

The car never shows up

Send   getgps and   getstatus (two spaces first) to the tracker. Check that the SIM has data and no PIN, that the APN is right, and that the IMEI in the app matches the label.

Ignition is always on (or always off)

In Configurator → System → Ignition source, try another source (for example Power voltage with a suitable threshold) and save.
